LIGHT VISION glasses detect :

  • the healthy part of the retina:

Every eye is different, and so is every perception. LIGHT VISION glasses automatically determine the area of the eye in which the user has the best performance and directly reproduces the environmental images there.

  • the direction of the gaze :

A text, a face, a landscape, indoors or outdoors, LIGHT VISION glasses detect the nature of the objects observed and adjust themselves to bring out the most important details. This allows users to move seamlessly between activities, including those that would otherwise be inaccessible due to their low vision, and thus gain independence.

LIGHT VISION glasses display :

  • the right images in the right place:

Thanks to its image generation technology, LIGHT VISION glasses are able to project processed environmental images onto an optimal part of the eye in real time, adapted to the perception of each patient.

  • The system is also capable of "augmented reality":

Augmented reality is the enhancement of the perception of a real environment, by adding or changing details, in order to make it more relevant.

LIGHT VISION glasses help :

  • People with age-related macular degeneration (or AMD)

Age-related macular degeneration (or AMD) is a disease of the central part of the retina, called the "macula", which can appear from the age of 50, and more frequently from the age of 65 onwards. this disease causes a significant weakening of visual abilities, but does not destroy them. although some dystrophies affect younger people, the term always refers to AMD.

AMD is the leading cause of blindness in the world and the leading cause of visual impairment in developed countries after the age of 50. It affects about 12% of the population between the ages of 55 and 65, rising to 20-30% of the population after the age of 65. Every year, nearly 500,000 new cases of AMD are diagnosed worldwide, and the number of people with AMD could increase by 50% by 2030.
