Light Vision Glasses

Light Vision glasses improve the vision and therefore the autonomy of people with one of the following eye illnesses:

  • Dry or wet Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD)
  • Stargardt's disease
  • Diabetic or myopic maculopathy
  • Retinal vein occlusion

HOW DO THE GLASSES WORK ?

The monocular glasses recognize, thanks to an eyetracking technology, the still healthy areas of the retina of the most performing eye.

The glasses directly target these functional areas to project the image that the user wishes to see.

Different color and contrast filters, controlled by an adapted remote control, allow a better perception of the environment and an adaptation to the conditions of use.

The Light Vision glasses are effective especially at home, in stationary mode, for:

  • Reading and writing
  • Watching television
  • Using your computer
  • Recognizing the faces of loved ones

  • Identifying, grasping and using everyday objects

  • Cooking

Our opticians and optometrists will come to your home as soon as the low vision glasses are made available in order to set up the glasses.

Thus, Light Vision teams can appreciate the real conditions of use of the glasses and adapt the equipment with a better precision.

A health professional will be in charge of:

of the Light Vision glasses

Adapting the glasses

to your own visual needs

Assisting you

In the following months and years, this health professional will ensure the follow-up of the use of the glasses, in particular the update of the parameter setting of the equipment if the pathology of the user evolves.
