History
With his experience in the fields of optoelectronics and medical laser applications, Daniel AÏT-YAHIATENE imagined in 2002 a portable vision aid system that would generate and project images directly onto the retina. He initiated research and designed a device that was difficult to miniaturise compared to existing technologies. The project was put on hold and then reactivated in 2008 when technological advances made it possible to envisage a reduced system suitable for everyday use.
The project acquires maturity and is rewarded nationally in 2010 and 2011 by the competition organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and BPI. LightVision is created in November 2011.
